"Let Our Voices Be Heard"

Yesterday in relief society we had a lesson on missionary work, and evils of the internet. It sounds like they wouldn’t really go together, but I’ll explain. We talked about how the internet can be a very wicked, but it can also be used for good. Elder Ballard gave a talk about how the internet is a conversation over the entire world, and we need to be a part of that conversation. We can put good out there. There are a lot of investigators out there who don’t just want to hear what the church is saying. They want to hear how it is affecting people, and how it would affect them.
The lesson turned to blogs, and the number of them. With blogs as a large communication tool in our society, it is also a good opportunity to be an example, and share our testimonies through our posts! Not very many people look at my blog, but you all do, and if you start to do the same thing it will spread! It's kinda scary, but it is my way of sharing.
I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church. There are a lot of good churches out there, but this is the true church of Jesus Christ. Our brother, Jesus Christ is the reason we can have faith in our heavenly father’s plan of salvation. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel to the earth. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon, the power of the priesthood, the prophet and apostles we have today, and of the Holy Ghost. I know that we can be with our families together forever by keeping the covenants we make (or will make) in the temple. I am glad that I have the blessing to know the truth, and have the ability to share it with others. It’s not just a my privilege to share, but also my responsibility.

Here is the link to Elder Ballards talk on the media, and the influence we can have in it.
